Tuition

Rebekah provides private tuition in piano, music theory and musicianship.

Rebekah has been teaching privately for almost 10 years and has successfully prepared students for music exams and to play for fun. Research shows that learning music enhances verbal memory, spatial reasoning, dexterity and literacy skills. Music lessons can be taken with focus on a specific area or can be tailored to incorporate varying combinations of the areas below.

Rebekah has undergone enhanced AccessNI disclosure checks and is child-protection trained. She is also an SEN-friendly tutor with several CPD certifications and extensive professional experience working with children with additional needs including ASD, ADHD and learning difficulties.

Piano

Piano lessons can be taken to play for fun or to prepare for practical exams. Rebekah teaches the ABRSM syllabus, focussing on beginner to intermediate levels and has a 100% pass rate. Piano lessons are usually supplemented with music theory tuition and are best suited to anyone aged 8 and up.

Music Theory

Music theory plays a crucial role in the development of music skills. Music theory tuition can be integrated into piano lessons, taken to supplement external instrumental tuition, or as standalone study. The option to take ABRSM Music Theory exams is also available.

Musicianship

Musicianship lessons are perfect for younger children who have shown interest in music or learning an instrument but may not yet be ready to begin formal instrumental tuition. These lessons take a very practical format and elements are also incorporated into piano lessons at higher levels to support the aural element of ABRSM examinations.

Having minimal previous music knowledge, Rebekah has helped me attain the highest classifications possible for each of my practical and theory examinations up to Grade 4.

This was only possible because of Rebekah's tutelage.

ADRIAN, BELFAST

You have made piano lessons so fun - our 8-year-old loves it all.

It takes a very special kind of person to get a child to practice piano willingly!

RACHEL, LISBURN

Let's make some music.
